Colleges in Jordan

What colleges are

Alongside universities, Jordan operates community colleges and university colleges that award intermediate and diploma-level qualifications, often two years in length, with progression routes into bachelor’s programmes where the institution provides them.

Who they suit

Students seeking a shorter, applied, cheaper or more employment-directed qualification; students whose Tawjihi profile does not open the university programme they wanted; and students who intend to progress to a degree later and want to build a record first.

What to check

Whether the college is officially recognised; whether the diploma articulates into a degree and on what terms; whether the qualification is recognised where you intend to work; and what the actual graduate employment picture is in your field.

Applied university provision

Al-Balqa Applied University operates a national network of colleges with an explicitly applied mandate, which is why it appears across multiple governorates in this portal’s directory.
