Editorial Policy

How this portal decides what to publish, which sources it prioritises, and how ‘best’ lists are handled.

People-first content

Every page is written to answer a question a real person is asking. Pages are not created to capture a keyword, and the portal does not mass-produce near-duplicate pages.

No absolute ‘best’

The portal does not state that one institution is universally the best. Any list that ranks or recommends states its criteria explicitly — academic reputation, official recognition and accreditation, subject strengths, international programmes, student support, language of instruction, location, fees, facilities, rankings and suitability for the student’s goal. Where several lists would produce different answers, the portal publishes the criteria and lets the reader apply them.

Source priority

  1. Official Jordanian government authorities and portals.
  2. Official institution websites.
  3. Accreditation and recognition organisations.
  4. Official ranking organisations.
  5. Official tourism and cultural sources where relevant.
  6. Other reliable secondary sources, identified as such.

Separation of fact and opinion

Editorial assessment is labelled as editorial assessment. Factual claims carry a source. The two are never blended into a single unqualified voice.

Verification and dating

Profiles carry a last-verified date. Claims that could not be verified are marked unverified rather than presented as fact. Pages are re-checked periodically and on correction reports.

Corrections

Reported errors are reviewed and corrected, and material corrections are reflected in the affected page’s verification date.
