Corrections Policy
How to report an error and what happens next.
How to report
Send the page URL, the specific claim that is wrong, and a link or document from an official source that supports the correction. Reports without a supporting source are still read, but may take longer to resolve.
What happens
- The claim is re-checked against the priority source list.
- If it is wrong, the page is corrected and its last-verified date is updated.
- If it cannot be confirmed either way, the claim is marked unverified rather than left standing as fact.
- Where an institution record is affected, the profile and its directory card are updated together.
Institutional corrections
Institutions and their representatives may request corrections to their own profiles. Requests are assessed on sources, not on status: the portal does not remove verified information about an institution on request, and does not add promotional content. Factual errors are corrected without argument.
Response times
Corrections are handled on a best-efforts basis. Errors affecting safety, eligibility or cost are prioritised.
