How to read this comparison

Two caveats matter more than any row in the table. First, tuition cannot be compared here — this portal does not publish fee figures that have not been verified from an institution's current schedule, so the row states the status of that information rather than inventing a number. Second, subject strength is not uniform across a university. A university strong in engineering may be unremarkable in business; the comparison shows whether a field is represented, not how good the department is.

Criteria used on this page

No institution is described here as universally "the best". Each list states the criteria behind it, and the right choice depends on the student's objective. Criteria applied:

Official category — Public, private or special-law — per the Ministry's published lists.
Field representation — Whether the institution offers the field, based on its published faculty structure.
Language of instruction — As published, with the caveat that 'English-medium' varies in degree.
International student provision — Whether an international intake and support function exists.
Accreditation responsibility — Who verifies the programme — and the reminder that programme-level status is separate from institution recognition.

Sources & verification

Priority order: official Jordanian government authorities → official institution websites → accreditation organisations → official ranking organisations → Visit Jordan → other reliable sources. Claims that could not be verified from these are marked as unverified rather than presented as fact.
