Arabic Language Education in Jordan | ヨルダン教育ガイド

In short

Arabic is the language of instruction in the national school system and the medium of teaching for Arabic language, literature, Islamic studies, law and education at university level. Arabic grammar, literature and rhetoric form a substantial part of school and university study in the humanities.

Arabic inside the system

Arabic as a foreign language

Jordan hosts a well-developed market in Arabic teaching for non-native speakers, delivered by private institutes and by university language centres. Programmes typically distinguish Modern Standard Arabic, Classical Arabic and Jordanian/Levantine colloquial Arabic — a distinction that changes what you can actually do with the language, and which programme is right for you.

Where to go next

The Arabic in Jordan section covers the registers in detail, lists language centres with verified profiles, and explains how to compare programmes by objective rather than by price alone.

Sources & verification

Priority order: official Jordanian government authorities → official institution websites → accreditation organisations → official ranking organisations → Visit Jordan → other reliable sources. Claims that could not be verified from these are marked as unverified rather than presented as fact.
