Universities
Jordan's government-established universities, distributed across the Kingdom and covering the broadest range of disciplines.
In short
Jordan's public universities are government-established institutions operating within the national higher-education framework. They span the country, from the University of Jordan and the specialised technology institutions in Amman to Yarmouk and JUST in Irbid, and to universities serving Zarqa, Salt, Karak, Mafraq, Ma'an and Tafila. They generally carry the largest student bodies, the broadest subject portfolios and the strongest research volume.
No institution is described here as universally "the best". Each list states the criteria behind it, and the right choice depends on the student's objective. Criteria applied:
This page lists institutions by official category. It does not rank them, and no institution's presence here implies recommendation. Use the comparison tool to weigh specific institutions against your own criteria.
