Student Life
Libraries & Study Spaces in Jordan
Where students actually work.
In short
Jordanian universities maintain central libraries with reading rooms and, increasingly, digital subscriptions. Access for your own institution is normally automatic; access to another university's library is not, so plan around your own.

Public libraries
Provision varies by city. Amman has the strongest public library and cultural infrastructure; smaller cities rely more on university facilities and on the network of public and community libraries maintained in some governorates.
Where students actually study
In practice, a large share of studying happens in cafes, at home and in department study rooms rather than in the central library. Quiet, air-conditioned study space with reliable internet is a real consideration when choosing accommodation.
Language resources
For Arabic learners, institute libraries and university language centres hold textbooks, graded readers and dictionaries that are difficult to find outside the region. If you are studying Arabic, ask whether library access is included in your course.
Sources & verification
Priority order: official Jordanian government authorities → official institution websites → accreditation organisations → official ranking organisations → Visit Jordan → other reliable sources. Claims that could not be verified from these are marked as unverified rather than presented as fact.
